Robb Cochran | Co-Founder of American Remodel & Your No-Nonsense Home Improvement Expert
Hailing from Hagerstown, Maryland, Robb Cochran’s drive started early by mowing lawns, hustling odd jobs, and fueling a lifelong passion for finance and entrepreneurship.
After graduating from West Virginia University, Robb brought his sharp mind for numbers to major players like AIG and FINRA. But the corporate world wasn’t enough; he craved connection, creativity, and something more hands-on.
That spark led him into outside sales, where he crossed paths with Jake. The two hit it off, crushed their roles at Thompson Creek, and realized the remodeling world was due for a serious upgrade.
Now, as co-founder of American Remodel, Robb brings a fresh take to the table: no gimmicks, no fluff, just honest, clear info and top-tier service. He’s here to make home improvement smarter, simpler, and enjoyable.

Born and raised in the sunny skies of Tampa, Florida, Jake Cross grew up balancing football, baseball, and hands-on lessons in construction from his dad. That early grit and hustle laid the foundation for everything he does today.
Jake earned an academic and football scholarship to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, where discipline and drive became second nature. After an injury redirected his path, he dove into the home improvement world and crushed it. At Thompson Creek, Jake quickly rose to the top, becoming a standout in sales and strategy.
That’s where he met Robb and where a big idea started to take shape. After six years, the duo launched American Remodel, setting out to reinvent the home remodeling experience.
Jake’s mission? Make home projects easy, efficient, and even fun. From quoting to delivery, he’s skilled with creating a smoother, smarter way to remodel, backed by hustle, heart, and a lot of know-how.
Dan Goebal | Expert Project Manager and Creative Mindset Inside American Remodel
Dan’s passion for design started early, working as a carpenter through his late teens and early 20s. After graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, he pursued a career in aviation and flew commercially with American Airlines.
Even while piloting planes, Dan couldn’t escape his love for building so he launched his own contracting company and rediscovered his true calling. After 35 years in the friendly skies, Dan retired from flying and returned to his roots by joining American Remodel.
What drives him today? Seeing the tangible, lasting results of a finished project - something he never experienced as a pilot. For Dan, the greatest reward is when clients return for another project. “It’s the lasting testament of something you’ve accomplished.”
When he’s not designing dream kitchens or roofing with precision, Dan is outdoors with his wife Jan, his partner of 30 years. They love spending time on the Chesapeake Bay and staying active with regular fitness workouts. Their favorite role these days? Proud grandparents.
Joseph White | The Friendly Front of House and Organizational Office Manager of American Remodel
Joseph is Jake’s older brother and the organizational key master at AR. Before joining forces with his brother, Joseph earned an associate degree in theatrical performance with dreams of becoming a theater teacher. But life had other plans and he spent several successful years in Hollywood appearing in commercials, ads, and print campaigns.
After working in various customer success roles, Joseph was invited to join AR, helping turn his brother’s vision into a growing business. While his role is quite different from the rest of the team, and without a background in remodeling, Joseph finds fulfillment in connecting with clients and watching the team’s passion come to life in each project.
Having lived in numerous states, Joseph's goal for American Remodel is to help expand their reach to further their clientele. He would love to see the company flourish with a bigger team in their own remodeling corporate office.
When he’s not working with clients, Joseph is all about family time with his wife, daughter, and their five dogs. The White household is a center of creativity, from drawing and photography to gaming and DJing.
