The Bay Bridge Run is a 10K race that traverses the eastbound span of the bridge from Anne Arundel County to Kent Island in Queen Anne’s County and finishes with a huge post-race party! Once a year, the bridge shuts down traffic on the eastbound span for a race that tests your mettle and perhaps your fear of heights! Hands-On History Day: Salute to Veterans (all ages) ($)

Visit the Museum of Historic Annapolis on the second Sunday of every month for Hands-On History Days. Drop in any time between 10 am and 2 pm for special family activities – a new theme each month means you and your family will want to visit again and again! Activities are included with Museum admission, which is 1/2 price on second Sundays. In November, join us for a Salute To Veterans! Explore Annapolis: An American Story and learn about our city’s military history. Interact with living historians and veterans from our community. Create your own poppy pinwheel in honor of Remembrance Day/Veterans Day. Examine cannonballs from the War of 1812 during our Curator’s Corner. Helps us build a magnetic tile encampment. Read stories about veterans in our Anne Arundel County Public Library Book Nook. The special Curator’s Corner experience will be offered at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Register here.

Come on out and celebrate the sweet potato harvest with us! The fest will feature live music, creative kids’ activities, sweet potato digging, face painting, a bounce house, corn pools, and a special farmers market with many of our regular farmers and artisans PLUS guest farmers and vendors selling different sweet potato varieties and sweet potato treats! The farmers market is ONLY for those who have purchased tickets to the Sweet Potato Fest. Tickets include access to the vendors inside the big barn and tent*, samples of sweet potato treats, live music, kids’ activities, a chef demo, bounce house, face painting, corn pools, and sweet potato digging. A great family and friends day! Honey’s Weekend Farm Store will be open to the public as usual.
