Meet Fayth Ribeiro, an Annapolis local, wife, proud mom to a daughter and two sons, and owner of The Lash Lounge in Annapolis!
Fayth once lived her dream job as a photographer; working for the Miami Heat, capturing championship moments and photographing celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and President George W. Bush. But after many years behind the camera, COVID prompted a big move from Miami to Annapolis and a chance to get her MBA. Today, she’s the proud owner of The Lash Lounge, creating a welcoming space where women can feel pampered and confident.
Fayth shares that giving yourself grace and enjoying the moment, day to day, is the most important aspect of being a mom. Everything changes and happens too quickly, so it’s important to soak in the time while you can!
The Lash Lounge Annapolis is also hosting its first Hiring Event on September 11th at 6:30pm to learn about their paid training program for lash technicians, stylists, or the front desk team!
Tell us a little bit about you and your family! Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? How many kids do you have?
I come from a family of veterans—my grandpa was a Marine, and my dad was in the Navy—so I was a Navy brat. My parents are both from Phoenix, Arizona, and I went to high school there, so I’d consider Phoenix my hometown. Although I attended the USNA, I didn’t graduate from there, but after living in Miami for 20 years, my family and I moved back to the Annapolis area in 2021. I have three kids: one adult daughter and two boys!
You are the owner of the Lash Lounge in Annapolis, but previously worked as a photographer. How did you get to your career today? Tell us how you got started!
During COVID, I decided to go back to school and earn my MBA. After moving to a new city, I wanted to plant roots and make a meaningful impact in the community. I decided to start a business where I could both empower young women and serve the women in the area. The Lash Lounge fit perfectly into this vision, so I went for it!
Tell us about all your experience as a photographer for the Miami Heat! Did you photograph for any other clients?
Omg, my time with the Miami Heat was amazing. I worked with them as a commercial and event photographer for 8 years, beginning the year we won the championship, so it was an exciting time! I had the amazing opportunity to work with so many talented people, and the culture at the Miami Heat is something I try to replicate in my own business today, because it was such a great experience.
During my time there and through my work with other clients such as The Ocean Reef Club and Fisher Island, I was honored to have photographed many athletes, politicians, and VIP’s such as Dwayne Wade, President Bush, Tony Blair, Jamie Fox, Jennifer Lopez, Madeleine Albright, etc. I have had photos featured in Sports Illustrated and ESPN, so I am very proud and feel very lucky to have had that experience!
Give us all the details about Lash Lounge. What services do you offer? What makes you different from others? Are you hiring?
At The Lash Lounge, we offer everything related to eyelash and brow beauty: lash extensions, lash lifts, lash and brow tinting, threading, and brow laminations. But it’s more than services—it’s about the experience. Our stylists are all licensed estheticians or cosmetologists, so there's an emphasis on safety and sanitization, and service. Guests leave feeling pampered, rested, and confident. Our focus is on luxury service and creating a space where women (or anyone!) can treat themselves.
We’re hosting our first Hiring Event at our Annapolis salon on September 11th at 6:30 PM. This open-house event is for anyone interested in learning about our paid training program for lash technicians, stylists, or front desk team members. Guests can meet our Senior Stylists, chat with our Local Salon Trainer, learn about our culture, and see if this is the right fit for them. We’re always looking for talented people to join our growing team!
As a small business owner, what are some ways you maintain a work-life balance to make family a priority?
First, you have to give yourself grace—it’s not easy. As a woman, wife, and mother, mom guilt is always there, but there’s never a “perfect” balance. Some days, family takes priority, sometimes work, sometimes self-care. It’s a constant adjustment, but setting boundaries and having a strong support system make it manageable.
How has your job shifted your perspective on Motherhood?
On long, challenging days when I’m away from my family, I take pride in knowing I’m modeling hard work and dedication for my kids. Motherhood doesn’t always look the way you imagined—and that’s OK. The key is duality: you can be both a good mom and a dedicated professional.

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I lived in Guam for two years and went through two typhoons in my first year there, alone with only my young daughter. Being an Arizona girl, that was definitely a very new and challenging experience!
What’s something you love that’s just for you?
Photography!
Best mom hack that makes your life easier.
We have an extra-large “command center” in our house where we keep weekly and monthly schedules so everyone can see what's coming and what to expect - this helps us stay on track!
Name something you hope your children look back and remember about their childhood and you as their mama.
That we worked hard but also played hard—and that they always felt loved.

What’s your favorite family activity to do in the area?
Most of our family activities involve soccer, so we love going to Blues games!
What have you learned from your children?
You have to enjoy the moment, the day, the time you are in, because everything changes and it happens quickly.
Who has most influenced you to be the mom you are today?
My mom and grandmother have had a huge impact on who I am as a mother, but I’ve also been shaped by so many incredible women and friends along the way. I learn from them, look up to them, and try to be the best version of myself—not just for my kids, but in honor of all the amazing women who’ve inspired me.
