Virtual Beginner Drawing Class_Level 1 (4 weeks)

AGES 14-Adult welcome to join in!!
This beginner drawing class will be offered virtually by Anita Hagan.

Things to know:
-1 hour weekly lesson given by Anita Hagan with time for weekly Q&A and critiques at the beginning of each class.
-We will be using the Zoom platform so you just need to download the app on your computer or phone to join the class (no need to pay for a membership)
-You must order your materials before the first class

Class Description: Anyone can learn to draw! In this 4 evening beginner teen/adult class, you will learn the basics – from materials you need to get started, to learning how to loosen up with simple shapes and gestures, and finally to completing your first finished drawing of still life. This class is designed to be relaxing, fun, and give you everything you need to get started on a lifetime of sketching.

Students must provide their own supplies: shop local at Art Things or buy online at Amazon or Blick.com

•Newsprint drawing pad (12×18) 50 sheets
•Strathmore brand 400 series sketch pad (or similar) (12×18) 24 sheets
•White Pearl Eraser
•Drawing Pencils (full set with 6B, 5B, 4B, 3B, 2B, B, HB, F, H, 2H, 4H, and 6H) If buying ala carte, a 6B, 3B, HB, B, 2H and a 6H.
•Kneadable eraser
•Vine charcoal (12 pieces)
•Pencil sharpener

 

This is a weekly class with the exception of April 28th,2026 there will be no class held. Our last class will be may 5th,206 instead
