Eastport Volunteer Fire Company Fire Prevention Fair
The Eastport Volunteer Fire Company will host its annual Fire Prevention Fair on April 19, offering a family-friendly afternoon focused on fire safety, community resources, and hands-on activities while also marking a major milestone for the department’s long history of service.
The event is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. at 914 Bay Ridge Ave. Organizers say the fair will include something for all ages, with opportunities for families to learn more about fire prevention and connect with local resources in a fun setting.
Family Activities and Fire Safety
The Fire Prevention Fair will feature fire safety education along with a variety of activities, including tours of fire apparatus, a junior firemen challenge, a fire safety trailer, face painting, raffles, and more. Food will also be available for purchase during the event.
The annual event is designed to make fire safety more accessible and engaging for families while giving the community a chance to meet the volunteers and personnel who serve the area.
Celebrating 140 Years
This year’s fair will also serve as a celebration of the Eastport Volunteer Fire Company’s 140 years of service to the community.
