Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and African Diaspora Festiva

Get ready, Annapolis: the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and African Diaspora Festival is on Saturday, April 11, from noon to 8 p.m!
The parade will step off onto West Street at 12 p.m. from Amos Garrett Blvd. and travel along West Street toward downtown, concluding on Calvert St.
Immediately following the parade, the African Diaspora Festival will begin, offering an afternoon and evening of entertainment. Festival highlights include:
Live music performances featuring legendary Go-Go group Junkyard Band
Performances by Clones of Funk, GMOS Band, Prosperity Band, Project 360, The Shyne Band, Josiah, and more
Delicious food vendors
Local artisans and community vendors
Youth activities hosted by the Chesapeake Children’s Museum
Cultural exhibits and family-friendly fun
